I posted this in comp but it now looks like we will be pretty busy!

BIg Poppa Smokers Competition Schedule for 2011

OK it seems like eons since we last cooked. Hating it!

Here is the preliminary schedule

feb 25-26 Lake Havasu, Az
mar 18-19 Wildomar, Ca
apr 1-2 Pala, Ca
may 27-28 Brentwood, Ca
jun 10-11 Costa Mesa, Ca
jul 1-2 Williams, Az
aug 4-5 Inaugural invitational Jimmy V foundation Wine and BBQ weekend Napa Valley
aug 12-13 Campo, Ca
sept 2-3 Mesquite, Nv
sept 23-24 Dana Point, Ca
oct 14-15 Lancaster, Ca
nov 11-12 Buckeye, Az
dec 2-3 Scottsdale, Az

We are also going to cook 6 times in 2011 for local charities. Also hoping that a good date works to invade Kansas City and join Andy and Kim for a weekend....

Hey BP, the comp April 1 & 2 at Pala, is this the Pala just north of Escondido? If it is, where will it be held (Pala Casino).

capitol city cook off in jefferson city. mo. 30.000 in prize money this year I think Andy and Kim cooked it last year.

Yep, and we will be there again this year. We are also cooking in the Butt to Butt!

This time I will be skipping the Chicken sandwich from Wendy's though......got food poisoning and was sick as a dog for 13 hrs!!

We don't have a casino, you nut, it's at the Fairgrounds. I found the online link to the event and emailed to all the girls and Boo Bear. It's now on all of their schedules. They expect to arrive, don a BIG POPPA tee shirt and start working hard handing out samples!

I was answering two questions...the one in pala is at the casino....

We got a convincing call from Todd to enter the Sams Deal in Sacramento so we added a date1 Thanks Todd...I know kim tried....

We will cooking in Conroe and then Fort Worth if we make it to the Regional.

Wish you could make it down to Tucson . . . But then, we probably wouldn't be here, anyway. Headed east this coming Summer, but we might head up to Scottsdale to say HI next December.
