Decide to try some Jerky today

Started out with a little Flank Steak trimmed up and sliced into strips

Assembled the marinade (basically BP's Video Jerky Recipe)

4 hours later running @ around 160 (notice the shrink, seems like pieces are missing)

I haven't had great success with my Jerky in the past but this came out awesome (it's already all gone) Using the marinade machine and with alot of help from this board I think I am getting it down.

Hey not sounding like a Smart A$$ and i know you had them at 160 but play it safe Buddy and put some cure #1 with the marinade. Better to be safe than sorry.

Very good point nepas, Botulism is definitely buzz kill. I will add some next time and maybe run at a higher temp.

Great looking jerky Carter! Your marinade ingredients look like a nice flavor combination! Bet it was tasty. :)
