I love tri tip you all know that There is a market here (major market, escondido,ca) That sells a ton of these marinated tri tips....all I do is hit it with some little louies with pepper and go to town

When it hit 142 I pulled them off and raised the heat to 550 and seared them 2 minutes then flip 2 minutes then flip and turn for one minute a side

I think that tri tip is much better cooked a little more than lets say a ribeye...here it is waiting to get attacked

A little Memphis Corn, Burgundy Pepper Tri Tip Little Louies SPecial Salad and One piece of bread no butter...Arrrgh Im losing a bunch of weight though

The Tri Tip looks delicious & a good looking meal BP!! But I would have to have butter on the bread & corn. After reading about Tri Tips for a yr. I finally got one from my butcher, frozen, & will fix soon. Your cooking method looks good to me, I'll try it, thanks. Smokin Don
