First Ever Tri Tip

Rubbed with BP Double Steak.

On the Weber with some Black Walnut pellets and some potatoes and Vidalia Onions.

Pulled it off the fire when the internal temp hit 138 and rested it.

It was yummy and tender. I can see why folks like to cook this cut. It’s too bad they are impossible to find around here.

Your tri tip came out great. I have been trying to find it in Virginia but never have. Even Costco doesn't carry it.

I keep looking...

Sure looks good Susan, I like the potato onion mix too! I have been looking for a Tri Tip for almost a yr. around here, Ohio. I ask my butcher if he ever had them & said no. I think they are a Calif. thing. I finally went to my butcher & his sign said Tri Tips. He only had a frozen one so bought it & will try soon. Smokin Don
