Yesterday we had all 3 meals and desert cooked outside. Breakfast was bacon and eggs. Lunch was burgers seen below , Dinner was tri tip with corn on the cob and grill zucchini. Desert was cherry pie. The MAK made it easy.

Ok, newbie question, how does the flame zone drop pan work? What is it's purpose? Thanks in advance.

It has multiple purposes (you know us we can't just make it simple) :)

1) Full set of flame zone holes for direct heat across the cooking surface vs. just in one area.
2) Blank pan that changes out for all indirect.
3) Drip free design to allow you to cook all the way to the edge of the grate without dripping grease down into the body of the pit.
4) It sits inside the entire lip of the grill to capture the grease flow into the chute.
5) You can remove the pan section to access the fire pot for cleaning vs. the entire tray.

Yes, you just switch out between the blank pan and flame zone pan, the tray stays in the grill.
We are calling it a "Quick Change Grease Tray".

I have been using it for everything. Just changing the inserts. From burgers to Cherry Pie and more to come.

This is a work of art! some serious thinking went on here.

Just so all Pelletsmoking members know as with the first design of the full flame zone. I will use and abuse this, cook on it as we always do. and then return it all to the folks at MAK with our findings so they may analyze the product.
