Since I received my grill in July, I have been wanting to try a fattie. I finally got around to it this weekend. Not as pretty as Cowgirl's fattie, but tasted great just the same.
In a skillet, cooked some potatoes, onion, red bell pepper and some Desert Gold. Let it cool. Put the mixture on some Jimmy Dean sausage along with some grated chedder cheese:
Rolled the fattie:
With the bacon weave and Little Louie's with Pepper:
On the Mak 2 Star on smoke for 15 minutes and then 325°F:
Pulled at IT of 165°F:
Sliced up:
Served on an English muffin with an egg (wish I could make a Hollandaise sauce!):
This was great for a first try. I think I see a fattie piston in my future!
