Butts O' Plenty

i said i was on a butt quest. well, i still haven't found what i like but am getting closer.

started off w/ a clean #63. oh no, a empty hopper.



mixed up some secret "sparky's special pellet mix".



ok, all is better now.



need lubrication.



okie dokie. some nice butts. everyone is a different weight. should be fun.



time to break out the spice cabinet.



i think these will work.



and it goes like this.

morning. look at the nice foam. man your good sparky. why thank you.

someone still hasn't woke up yet. what a good friend. its cold out here too.



getting close. love the color.



the gang is ready to come off. a little apple juice and a dusting of soileau's and then wrapped up.





rest time. must be time for a FT. its after noon here so it's ok.



rested for 2 hours or so and pulled.

well. the molasses was nice. it gave the butts a different flavor that i have never tasted before. i do want to try the butts w/ the same spices again just to see what that taste like since that is what i am use to. but all in all. i liked the molasses. the rubs. i have to say tasting each butt as i was pulling it was good. my favorite was the butt rub. it had something in it that was a taste that i couldn't get enough of. 2nd was the head country. it tasted really well. the salt lick rub was good. i just like the other ones better. i do want to try each of these rubs w/ ribs also. thanks for looking. need to get the butt rub and the head country in much larger containers.
