First Turkey on the Mak

Looks like the contest has already been judged (I guess west coast folks need to cook earlier on Sunday :)), so I will post my first Turkey cook here.

Spent the week traveling to be with wife's parents and then my parents. Already had Thanksgiving dinner on Tuesday and Thursday, but I was not going to let that stop me from smoking my first turkey today.

For the turkey (13 lbs), nothing creative. Just followed BP's recommendations. Annies EVOO and Desert Gold. Then apples, onions, carrots, celery, and stock. then in the 2 star at 275°F:

Finished in approximately 4 hrs:

Plated up with all the fixins (remember, this is our third T-day dinner this week, so fixins are a little lighter than normal!):

Finished the meal off with an apple pie on the Mak:

On the Mak at 400°F:

Wow does it look good. That Pie looks like if you added one more slice of apple it would've burst! Now that's what I call a pie. :)
