Meanwhile, the MAK is turned up to 11 and screaming hot. Griswold is oiled up and smoking away.

Run 3 russet potatoes and a Vidalia onion through my new Mandoline slicer toy.

Tater/Onion mixture is looking good!

Scoop it out into a foil pan and get the Griswold screaming hot again.

My new favorite potatoes! The MAK did a good job, but I think it would work better with the flame zone pan in. I had to keep the lid closed to bring the heat up.

MrsSTC doesn't like Wagyu, or onions for that matter, and she was gone for the evening. Seemed like a good time to cook something for *me*. ;)

It was a nice change for a Thursday night dinner on the picnic table.
