Maple Roasted Nuts

MAPNUTS1.JPG

Ingredients:

2 cups Nuts (whatever you like)
2 TBS real Maple Syrup
1 1/2 TBS Brown Sugar
1/4 tsp salt (omit if the nuts are salted)
1/4 tsp Paprika

Optional: For a spicy version add 1/8 - 1/4 tsp ground Cayenne Pepper.

Driections:
Preheat your smoker/grill to 375 degrees. Gather your nuts in a large bowl for mixing. Mix the Brown Sugar, salt & paprika together then add to the nuts. Add the maple syrup and toss with a rubber spatula, making sure everything is coated evenly.

Line a cookie tray with parchment paper and spread the nuts out in a single layer. Roast in a 375° oven or smoker for 10-12 minutes, making sure not to burn them. Once the nuts have cooled break them apart & store in a container.

They look yummy! And thank you for the recipe. I'll be adding the suggested cayenne pepper for a little added kick! :)

I did some of both for us.

I played around with several batches tweaking the levels of the sugars, etc. Even my wife, who normally doesn't like maple, or sweet roasted nuts, liked these. They're not too sweet.

This recipe worked really well for popcorn, or a mix of nuts & popcorn too!
