Had some leftover smoked rib roast in the freezer. Time to use it. Some sautéed peppers, onions and mushrooms. Add some Vermont Chedder. Steam with some beef broth and put on a toasted roll.
I'm a Philly guy and this looks great. If you want to kick it up "real" Philadelphia style, saute some chopped onions in butter, salt and pepper until soft, mix the onions in with the meat and chop it a little finer. Place in a long "hoagie" or sub roll.
I personally like american cheese on mine because it melts so well, but many like provolone.
