Any build their own cold smoke box?

I have the means to build stuff out of metal, has anyone else tried to make their own cold smoker box off their pellet grill? Thinking of getting a Mak 1 star, but I would like a cold smoke box, just don't think I can justify the extra $$ for the 2 star. Thoughts?

You won't be able to cold smoke with the 1 star. Cold smoking is done @ max of 90F. Not sure you can "cold smoke" with the 2 star either.
