Number 327! As I posted in my follow up to my "I'm a new smoker..." 327 is the product of 2 primes (3 * 109) meaning this is one prime smoker.

I've got the box broken down and things laid out; my son will be coming over tomorrow to help with the assembly.

Ribs this weekend!

Question. If I'm going to grill, can/should I take off the heat diffuser to get more heat to the flame zone?

Remove the flame zone cover for using the flame zone. Don't ever use the grill without the heat diffuser (part that covers the fire pot).

Congrats and welcome to the MAK Family :)

Thanks for the tip. I kinda figured; but thought I'd ask just in case.

My oldest son came over to help me set it up. I uncrated it last night; it took exactly 2 hours to get it all together and clean up so I could get the car back in the garage.

Put together an up on the deck

Tucked in bed with the Weber

The temp from the firepot will exceed 1000 and melt aluminum, don't ask how I know.

Purely theoretical, I'm sure. :)

I've got 3 racks of St. Louis cut ribs and 8 brats on today for my first cook; lots of smoke coming out.
