Spatula for ribs

From tongs to a spatula. The photos show the different methods and compares to regular size spatulas. The rod is needed with the extension or the blade will flex to much. It does not hamper with the use and may keep the rib from sliding off the blade

Wow Jim, looks very handy!

I got the idea from watching Johnny Trigg drop the rack of ribs on TV. When I tried to use one like Mr Trigg my ribs would bend so much in the middle I had very little control and came up with the idea. The first one I made I hacked together because I didn't think it would work for me. Well wasn't the first time and won't be the last time I am wrong.Which is why I made the second one.
Cowgirl it is handy it moves the ribs easily and as the photos show picks the rack up even if overdone. The wire that is added to cut down on flex helps with the ribs. I also tried a pizza peel. Didn't work

They would work great on whole salmon or fish filets too! Nice invention Jim!!

I have a Weber Fish Spatula that I use more and more. Works good on spatchcock chicken
