    Crispy Breaded Poppers

OK, we all seem to love poppers, ABT's, or whatever you like to call 'em cooked on the grill. But I also love the deep fried variety with a crispy breading on the outside.

So, let's see what your great minds can do with this. Come up with a smoky version of breaded poppers that will crisp up on the grill.

    No store-bought pre-packaged poppers either!

Chili, When I thought up this challenge, I thought of you specifically. It's right up your alley!

I've got my idea worked out too, but I want to see yours first. No worries, there's no deadline and I'm patient...

...as long as you don't make me go hungry!

I am replying mostly so I don't forget to look at what he turns up with. I love these things! Maybe I will try something, but I need to think about it for a while...

I got my ingredients and got a plan. Now I need to find the time!
Picked up some great looking chiles at the supermarket today, just in.

Hopefully Friday I can do them up

I'm usually very optimistic, but, my bet is that it ain't gonna happen.
I can't get anything crispy on my Traeger.

    Here we go!

I sliced some of the jalapeņos lengthwise and some just got the tops cut off. I wasn't sure which would work better so I did both.
I stuffed em with cheese, wrapped em in bacon and dusted em with BPS garlic season salt with jalapeņo.

I cooked these just shy of being done and I let them cool.

Next I heated up some canola oil in the mak griddle. I love the griddle!

    Test run #1

    Turned out not bad!
I rolled the rest in buttermilk and Panko.

    Everyone into the pool!

Done! Not too shabby for the first ever pellet grill fried jalapeņo poppers!

Plated with some habanero sauce and sprinkled with cilantro.

    Oh baby cheesy goodness!

Now for a taste..dipped in habanero sauce of course!

    YES ...they were that good!
