    Premier Cook This Challange

Welcome to the first Cook This Challenge. Letís hope we all have a little fun with this. You have read the guidelines so letís get it on!

This is one of my favorite dishís in this style of cooking. I feel there are areas with the meat, seafood and vegetables that can be improved on a smoker. It is up to you to make it happen and make this dish your own. It will be easy enough to find the basic recipe. So in the words of my grandfather.... Getíer done!
And the dish isÖ..drum roll pleaseÖÖ

Thatís right..Mongolian Beef and Shrimp Fried Rice. Canít recall any Chinese food being cooked here. Please show how you changed the recipe from the original and let us know how you thought it came out .Good luck and canít wait to see what you do with this.

PS I know Iím evil and by the way this was delivery!

Rick, First I want to say a huge, "Thank You," for the whole idea for this section!

Now... Mongolian Beef. Hmmm... this will be an extra challenge for me since I'm suppose to avoid soy sauce. You better believe I will figure out something!

I have no doubt that Rick had already come up with some great ideas before he even posted the challenge.

I've been giving this a lot of thought and plan to give it a try this weekend. I think I've even got a soy sauce substitute figured out.

Here you go Rick, Mongolian Beef & Shrimp Fried Rice.
The players everything but the kitchen sink

Slice the steak and let it marinade for a while in egg, sesame oil garlic

Mean while you make the sauce for the rice and beef

Everything is cut up ready to go.

I removed the drip pan and heat deflector from the Traeger set the Sizzle Q

Pour some peanut oil on the grill and threw the beef and shrimp on.

Then add the sauces and all the other ingredients to the rice and beef. And a few pot stickers. Man the grill was hot and things were moving fast

We are almost done the whole cook only took about ten minutes

    Waiting to be served

And my plate it was outstanding. Who would have ever thought that you could cook Chinese Food on a smoker

Sorry the guidelines says the challanger does not cook the dish. We may need to tweak those a bit.

Wneill20 you rocked it dude! Looks great and you seemed to have stayed true to the original dish. I would have had to dock you a point as I didn't see any fried rice noodles but would have gave 2 back for adding in the potsticker and Chinese veggies. Would take a plate of that anytime. Thanks for giving it a try and job well done!
