Hi, MossyMo. what do u think of the new yoder, the one that is a drumsmoker on the orange cart/pellet?
Hi MossyMo. I'm replacing the junk traeger I returned and have narrowed down my choices to the Yoder YS640 and Blaz'n gridiron. You seem to be a resident Yoder expert so I thought you may be able to answer this about them.
With the firebox on the left and no heat deflector like most pellet grills between the fire and drip pan, is there a big hot spot on the left side of the grill? I love throwing full turkeys on the smoker and after smoking for a couple hours, turn up the heat to over 300. I was thinking the left side of the grill would be very hot, especially at the grates. What have you experienced in these situations?
I just came upon your post: http://www.pelletsmoking.com/pellet-...er-ys640-3394/ How accurate are the thermometers that are mounted on the doors? Are the Door thermometers that Yoder gives you as an additional accessory close to accuracy as the Maverick wireless thermometers! Or are they a waist of money!
I'm still trying to get use to how to maneuver around the site... every site is different. I'll have it down in a week or two. I am so happy to have joined a forum you are on, I miss reading about your cooks and the fantastic pics!
Hey Marty, Good to see ya!!
