Prior to our covered patio, my MAK’s spent 24/7/365 under the sun and stars. Lots and lots of rain and never an issue. Obviously keeping covered when...

Current version is either 3.44 or 3.45 I believe. The most recent firmware seems to be very dialed in and resolves the MGM issues that have been so...

Gotcha! So you’ve had this MAK for about 6 months and all was well until just recently? In other words, you’ve been happily cooking away and all of a...

  1. Thanks Scooter. Weird how some people like us care greatly about keeping our stuff in tip top shape, and others couldn't care less. Sometimes I wish I could be a bit more relaxed with things like this... Personally, the powder coat is one thing I love about the 1 Star... easy peasy to wipe down after each cook!

I have #28 which is the 3rd production 2 Star off the line. Keeping the stainless looking good takes some effort but it's worth it. I like to keep it clean and shining. My #28 has kept looking great with a minimum of battle scars on the SS until I got the 2015 prototype. In giving #28 a thorough cleaning I took off the lid and put it on my wood deck pretty SS side down. Big mistake! I've kept that lid looking fantastic for 6 years and when I go to clean it one last time I get a series of scratches along the top of the lid.....Heartbroken.
Shining SS looks great but can be a heartbreaker when it gets scratched and it's easy to scratch and no easy task to remove scratches. So my friend, beautiful SS is a blessing and a curse.
