    Good idea but magnets can't be welded and they do not last getting heated up and cooled constantly. Also our stainless is 304 series (non magnetic)...

  1. 1st off thanks to Scooter for setting me straight and 2nd why do i need to be on facebook?
    New Auger/Motor are in and doing well. I smokt 2 turkeys and the 38 people i had over flipt out for them!

  4. i hv smokt 3 times....on my new MAK 2 star....first time it was some ugly lookin rib eyes that tasted great...next whole spare ribs done comp style...and finally a butterflied leg of lamb. I hv been fighting a bad auger/motor im not sure if its the weld on the shaft or tube or motor issues. I hv been told i will get a new motor n auger any day now and then ill be back smokin. The quality of flavor is amazing out of this unit! i hv the magnum smoke daddy attacht to the MAK to make continuous smoke during the cooking process. This created a nice 1/4 inch or more smoke ring on the leg and just brings a great smoke flavor to the meat and my clothes!
