  1. Should get my iPad 2 in a few weeks. Love to test it on that! I wish the pellet boss had an iphone/iPad link. $400 for teh remote boss is out of my range right now (spent it on the iPad). Maybe when my bonus comes in...

I thought by now users would have some changes or ideas on the software. But only a few and they can use the user one field for that. So it appears it will stay unchanged for awhile. Feel free to review. It does show Big Poppas and Pelletsmoking on the work page, which can be changed by the user if they care to. I have worked /toy with pages to view in a iphone or ipad. But with printing not a real feature of either. It can wait until next years release. I was hoping to have a Mac version by now. Been looking for a Mac filemaker pro programmer to compile it for me which would take about 5 minutes.
  3. Yes, Bob has told me that they will be going to the aluminized steel on the 2 Star down the road. They are also testing a 1,000 degree powder coat for the interior (I'm getting it on my 2 Star right now).

Have you had the chance to cook on a MAK yet?

As far as the 1 star being a better smoker - I think both the MAK's are great smokers. The 1 star definitely puts out a lot of smoke - that is one of the first things BP noticed about it to.

Now that the cooler weather is here, I am looking forward to doing some cold smoking on my 2 star, and I will be getting some of the searing grates soon from Bob and won't have to mess with the GrillGrates anymore.

I tried the Memphis Grill last week --- my results were light years better than ( the defective ) Fe1000 , but I would not say it was a good smoker--- I talked to the Mak people and they would agree with you about the 1 star maybe being a little better at smoking than the 2 star --- I may be waiting till January when the 2 star has xome modifications on it done -- I'm told more like the body of the 1 star ( aluminum ) stronger and more corrovise free and stronger painted surface
