    Future MAK 2 Star Owner

Buying a new house next month and planning on getting a MAK 2 Star for the back deck. I saw a Traeger a couple of weeks ago at one of my client's homes and couldn't believe I hadn't seen something like it before.

I grew up in Fort Worth loving Texas BBQ and knew when I got a new home here in Colorado with room for a smoker I would get one, but I thought it would be something with a steep learning curve that I had to learn to use and tend to all hours of the day/night to make great BBQ. I also had never figured out how I would get good hardwood in a land full of pine trees nor did I want to tend to a smoker at all hours when I live in a very, very cold ski resort town with long winters. Then I found out about Pellet Smokers and have spent the last couple weeks reading and researching everything I can. The thought of a smoker with wood I can easily have shipped to our small resort town which will run for hours without a babysitter has me very excited.

Then tonight I ate at a new BBQ place in town and it really reinforced my desire to get my own smoker. The meat was dry and overcooked and the sauces didn't do it for me. And I spent $20 for two small meat portions and two sides.

As soon as we close on our home next month the order will be placed for the Mak 2 Star.

As an owner of a MAK 2 Star, I can say that you will become a backyard rock star once you start cooking on your MAK. When the blue smoke starts rolling, you will find you have a lot of friends and soon-to-be-friends. The trick is to get them to pay for the meat. Good luck with that.
