    can you use wood burning pellets and mix them with hickory pellets in a traeger lil tex smoker grill?

    If they are NOT "food grade" pellets, I would stay away from them. Afterall, it is your health you are dealing with. Not too mention a guest who could sue your socks off for making them sick. Not worth the risk, IMO.

    Yes you can use heating pellets in your pit but for the health risks inherent with using non food grade pellets to cook my family's meals, I prefer to use food grade pellets. I have toyed with the idea of making good use of the MAK's quick pellet change abilities to change out the pellets to heating pellets whenever I'm cooking something that's covered with foil but just haven't tried it yet.
