Keep in mind the OP is from Finland.
As Sam said, there are a number of us MAK users here.

Welcome aboard Henri. There are many good smokers out there. You'll need to do your homework to find one that best suits you. Personally, I'm partial to MAK for a number of reasons, maybe the best...
If the 15lbs was sticker weight, what was the trimmed weight?
Same here, works perfectly!
Agree with Salmonsmoker, it's very easy and fast to get at the firepot. Shove the vac hose tip in and 5 seconds later it's cleared out.
It will come down to what pellets are used (some create significantly more ash than others) and how long each smoke takes when it comes to a fire pot starting to fill up, which can cause a unit to...
It is very hard to find negative comments about MAK and there is a good reason for that.
Welcome fellow Hoosier from Indy!
The one nice (convenient) thing about also having a gas grill: reverse searing is easier! Doing a Tri-Tip this afternoon with 2 hours on the MAK then finishing by searing both sides for 2-3 minutes...
The best advice is to contact MAK, they can get you sorted out and running. I interpret you to say that 1 time in 10 the MAK does not come up to temp i.e. only 10% of the time it doesn't reach temp....
The MAK 2 Star can most certainly be your only piece of equipment. It is totally capable of providing high temp grilling just as wolverines mentioned. Everyone has their preferences and own...
Spent way too much time researching equipment before finally deciding on the MAK sometime back. I wanted to invest only one time in a pellet smoker and be satisfied for the next 20 years. During the...
I second the MAK selection. It is really hard to find anyone that has ever been displeased with the performance of their MAK. These things work and do it WELL!
Welcome fellow Hoosier! There are a number of options but like most things you get what you pay for. Personally I subscribe to the buy-once-cry-once scenario. The other path gets you into...
This site was AWOL for a couple for days this week, anybody know what happened?
Welcome to the MAK family, big CONGRATS! Season it that have fun. Pork Butt is always a good first round. Then of course ribs!
Directly contact MAK customer support. They will get you sorted quickly.
Yup, contact MAK direct. They can tell you what upgrades are available / will fit. As far as which, it will come down to what's most important for you. The wifi is helpful if the weather is poor...
Probably very good pics but they aren't coming through. Tried it via Safari & Chrome, same result.
... 100º temp swings ??? That's not right!
The flame zone is a lower part that stays in place whether you smoke or grill. A crowned plate with holes covers the flame zone and there are two plates the cover up those holes when smoking. Plates...
Good choice, I've not experienced any of those problems with my MAK. It holds temp, and the lastest 2 star version has a movable internal therm so you can place it right next to what you are smoking....
30º temp swings are basically a yawner but if they are approaching 100º, something is not right and should be addressed.
