Picked up a 3 lb Sirloin tip roast at the store yesterday. I have never tried one before so...
Injected with:
1/2 cup chicken broth
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon finely ground pepper
Then I rubbed it with:
1 Tsp Chili Powder
1 Tsp Cumin Powder
1 Tsp Black Pepper
1 Tbsp Granulated Garlic
1 Tbsp Turbinado Sugar
1 Tbsp Kosher Salt
Put it on the smoker at 225 with BBQ delight Hickory pellets. Cooked it for about 2 hours to an IT of 130. Wrapped in foil for an hour.
YUMM! I love the flavor of Sirloin. It's a cheaper cut of meat, but has a really good flavor.
