My second time using the pellet smoker. I tried three different rubs. Two were store bought and my own.
I added a little liquid to each. Apple juice in one, Jack Daniels Honey to the next, and Dr Pepper to the last.
I only put sauce on half of each rack. I wanted to taste just the meat...
I did a couple chickens with rub under the skin last week for 1.5 hrs on high temp. They came out alright. Today is my first real go with pellet smoking. I did a rub on the meat and injected the chicken. Fingers crossed.
