Hello,

I am new to this forum and my name is Benny. I picked up an original Traeger BBQ075 Texas Elite from Facebook Marketplace for $50 bucks. I decided to buy it because I was curious about Pellet Smokers. This thing is HEAVY and seems to be made out of thick steel. I called Traeger customer service and was told that it is about 15 years old. Long story short, I sanded most of the smoker down and replaced the original control board, power cord, and hot rod. I am going to change the fire pot out but it hasn't arrived in the mail. I painted it with Rustoleum High temp paint, sanded and stained the wooden handles. I also applied a BBQ gasket to seal the smoker up.

I haven't smoked on it yet because i am going to install BBQ latches and the fire pot but am excited to see what it can do. Here are a couple of pictures of the progress I've made. I'll update post once I get the rest installed.
