A breakfast that stays with you all day

HAY STACKS!!
I dont eat these often but when I do I usually won't need anything else the rest of the day. Check this out..

Fired the MAK up burning hickory. I started out by cooking the sausage for the gravy I'll be making later.

The sausage is almost done so now its time for the biscuits to go on.

Sausage is done and set aside so I can make the hash browns in the same pan. I'll be using the iron skillet for everything.

Hash browns go on now.

The bisquits are about done now.

The bisquits come off and some hunks of ham go on.

The hash browns are done and get set aside.

The ham gets moved to the flame zone for a final couple of minutes.

OK time to make the gravy.
The cooked sausage gets put back into the skillet along with a roux I mixed up earlier.

More milk and salt and pepper.

Stir stir stir..

Oh yeah!! Hot and bubbly! Looks nice!

Finally its time for the Hay Stack topper..The fried eggs.

Time for the assembly line..lets do this!

DONE! Plated with some jalapeno slices on the side.

MMMMMM..HMMM an hour in the making..the first bite!

After eating this I'm going to need a belly rub and a nap

After seeing that food (never mind eating it), I would need a belly rub and a nap, too! That looks really, really good! To think I settled for some homemade corned beef hash with a couple of eggs splashed over them this morning. It was good, but I like your Haystacks idea!
