My MAK Two Star is on order, as well as a couple of extras, but looking to the group for suggestions of accessories that they would not be without. Thanks in advance.
Don't forget PELLETS! I have about eight different flavors to choose from in my "collection", and there are several that I want to add, like charocal flavored and wine soaked oak.
If you don't go the remote boss route, get a maverick ET-732 dual probe wireless thermo. Save up for a Thermapen. These are a couple of items that will really help you with your cooks, if you don't already have them.
Scooter hit the nail on the head; Two half upper racks! Sometimes a half rack is enough but other times two of them gives you that extra room you need for bigger cooks.
Yeah. I think in retrospect, the two half-racks is better than the one full rack. I should have listened to whomever gave me that tip. All the suggestions above are excellent. I'll second the suggestion on the remote. It's easy to install. It works like a charm, and man, does it give some freedom to the cook, especially if you have to run into the kitchen to multitask.
In addition to the suggestions above, I like the pellet buckets from MAK Grills. Sure, there are cheaper ways to go, but I like the look and the lid. Get a grill brush to clean. MAK sells one that's made in the U.S. I also got a paint scraper per BP's suggestion to help me clean the tough stuff off stainless steel surfaces in the grill. A Shop-Vac would be great if you don't have one already. I just sweep the ash out, and man, it's like a dust bowl in there when I do that. Get some extra temp probes like the M2 Armored probes.
