Armored probes?

Just wondering how everybody likes their armored probe. How does it hold up? Have you ever had a failure? I know about the one year guarantee but has anyone had one go out after that? I think it may be time to get one.

I have an M2 here - Same as the M1, but works with earlier generation MAK without a programming change. Honestly, I've only used it once so far by I do like the look and feel. Too soon to report on the longevity though.

Have been testing the M2 Armored Probe for over a month now. One of the great things about this probe is that you can use it in conjunction with the Standard MAK probes. Mix and match - No need to reprogram the Pellet Boss.

The M2 Armored Probe is on the left and the Standard Probe is on the Right.

Have now used it 17 times for a total of 66 hours and 30 minutes. Temperature ranges for the cooks - Smoke (~180ºF) to 410ºF.

In many of my recent posts you may have seen an array of probes being used. Here you can see the M2 Armored Probe on the left, 2 Standard Probes, and a Maverick ET-732 Probe on the right. Virtually every test with the M2 Armored Probe has included other probes for validation.
