Ok fellers been usin wood chips but local farm supply gave me some mesquite pellets from broken bag use em dry.? How much for beef ribs? Oh also using masterbuilt electric 30.

Use them dry. I'm not sure how much you should use I've never used mesquite pellets. Just don't get them wet or they will turn to saw dust.

You don't ever want your chips, chunks or pellets wet. All you're doing is delaying the start of the smoking process until the moisture in the wood evaporates. The wet wood also cools down the your fire/coals.

Welcome to the forum.

Mesquite is VERY strong. You only want to use a very small amount (maybe 1/4 - 1/3 cup) in a foil pouch with a single small hole punched in it. You'll be tempted to punch several holes or a big hole, but don't. Just one small hole in that pouch will turn it into a little smoke factory.
