Brisket deal at Costco

I don't know if this can be found everywhere but I was perusing the meat case at Costco and came across prime packers for $2.69 a pound! If I can find more will full packers freeze well?

The "full" briskets I've seen at Costco in my area in cryovac are not what I'd call a full packer. They trim most of the point off at the plant and only a remnant of a point is left on the flat in the cryovac. Definitely not what I'd call a "full packer".
To answer your question, yes, brisket freezes well. In fact, there are teams that'll cook nothing other than a defrosted brisket in competition.

scooter you are way behind...I have bought CASES of prime packers from costco....usually in a market they hit one store...they are fabulous

Yep, it's a full packer. So excited to Q that bad boy after BP's comment! And I will be stalking that store from now on!

How do you find out which store holds the prime packers?

Just dawned on me, is it the business Costco? The one that's like a restaurant depot ?

no in the desert the palm desert one carries them the La Quinta one doesnt you just have to call the meat departments.
