Catching up on Posting!

Well Minnie the MAK and the drum smoker have been working hard...I just have been remiss in posting my recent cooks.

So here is a friends bday tri-tip dinner!

the Players, rubbed, wrapped and marinating overnight while I finish the cake

Wizard of Oz theme bday cake--chocolate cake with salted caramel buttercream

Smoking Away! Love the deep color the smoke & balsamic glaze give the meat

Add some taters! Sadly have not tried the Big Poppa recipe yet...but the MAK sure adds to the flavor of Costco scalloped potatoes

Such a pretty sight, Minnie & SS drum (who needs a name) SMOKIN in the rain!!!

Sliced and devoured by the ladies! Talked food & smoking for quite a while once everyone started eating!

OK I get it... "Somewhere Over the Rainbow", the Yellow Brick Road... The only thing I'm not seeing is the munchkins who are going to eat that cake.

Thanks! I have been baking & decorating cakes long before I stumbled into the BBQ world! It is a fun hobby and allows me to use my creative juices.
