I've been working to come up with a combo of Blues Hog and Head Country I'm happy with. To be honest I'm still most happy with just straight up Blues Hog but I want to come up with something a little different so I'm not like everyone else out there.
I make my own sauce from scratch and am very happy with it. Everyone that has tried it raves and asks for the recipe which I cannot reveal due to how much time I have spent working and tweaking with the spices.
I have to add vinegar to BH blue to tone down the sweetness and thin it out a bit! Then I add a couple other sauces to it to amp up the heat and change the flavor a tad. Never did like Head Country. I've not found anything that glazes better than BH!
My favorite sauce so far, has been 1 part BH original, 1 part BH Tenn Red, and one part of our own Bold BBQ Sauce. Used it this weekend, and were really happy with the results!
