Go to rubs and pellets

Tried to search on this topic but not seeing anything. Guessing it is me as all searches I have done don't seem to work. Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

Need to start collecting some rubs. Looks like desert gold and seasoned garlic from BP are staples. What others should I have on hand? Mostly be cooking chicken and beef as the wife gets Sick if she eats pork, but the kids and I love pig so it is on the menu. Wife also likes sweet (why she married me). I am open to what ever as long as it is really hot.

Also what flavor of pellets do you recomend? Grandpa used Mesquite and that was good. Can you tast the difference between different pellets? Love cherry flavors... Does using cherry give any cherry flavor?
