Green mountain grills are horrible

I had a GMG Jim Bowie.
It was the most frustrating, heap of Chinese made ?*&% that can be bought.
It was HORRIBLE!!!!!!
I lost $1,100 after arguing with the HORRIFIC customer service I received from GMG.
I sold the grill to an individual after explaining the 3 pages of email trail problems I had (I have the emails if anyone is interested in reading them) with GMG and receiving HORRIFIC support from GMG. The individual was willing to take the risk and try to fix this Chinese made heap of *&%^!!!!!!
I bought a Mak II Star General. It is a quality, American made masterpiece!!!!! It's ability to hold and maintain temperatures is INCREDIBLE (I live in Alaska, that means something). BUY THE MAK!!!!!
DO NOT BUY GMG!!!!!! THEY ARE HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!

Whoa.... Please tone it down a little. Im very happy that you like your MAK but this is a pretty harsh 5th post. Many people have had very good luck with them I am sorry that you were disappointed in your GMG experience.

Unfortunately you received a lemon and for whatever reason the customer service to match. I know people who swear by GMG as it's a fine cooker for cheap price. A good entry level grill.
I can say from experience you will never post anything like that about your MAK or a Memphis as I've been trolling around pellet grill forums since 2009 and have never seen anything but deep appreciation and heaping praise on both. I've owned my 2 Star since 2009. It was the 3rd production 2 Star off the MAK assembly line. I've used it almost every week since I purchased it but have always treated it good and cleaned it often. It cooks as good today, if not better, than the day I assembled it.
It's like I always say, buy the best and only cry once!
