Looking at purchasing a pellet grill soon.
Wondering on peoples experiences on some.
I am looking at these, or if there are any other options I am missing

I was looking at the
Country smoker 450
Yodder 480
Blazin Grill Grand Slam
Green Mountain
IPT
Memphis Select or MAK although those are getting to be a little more than I want to spend

The country smoker is the lowest price which is driving me towards that.
I might be missing some to that I am not aware of?

WHen I am cooking it is moslty chicken, ribs, pork butt and brisket Burgers, brats and steaks for grilling. Small family so I am looking at smaller models. Would like to keep under 1000 which is why I have been leaning towards the country smoker

i'd get the yoder 480. alot of yoder users here. they got good grills.

Yeah they seem really well built..they are a little more than I want to spend. The memphis mak and yodder were on the high end. You recommend the yodder over the memphis and mak?

oh no by know means. i would get the mak 1 star or the memphis advantage if i was spending your money. i just know both of those grills. i have never cooked or seen a yoder in person. the other two i have. i like the both the mak 1 star (pellet boss, ya) and the advantage.

the memphis select is a fine unit too....I would stay away from the imported ones....the country smokers are ok If you are going for the Yoder ...buy the mak for the versatility

My first pellet grill was a Traeger Lil' Tex Elite (Chinese made) and while I never had a bad thing that I cooked on it I did see some of the limitations it had. After 6 months of using it I broke down and purchased a Mak 2 Star because of the construction, features and overall quality...I wanted a grill that was going to last 10-15 years so the investment was worth it too me.
