I got some Muebe's Island Nuggets in a 36hr soak with your marinade and a bit of a twist. Going on the Mak tomorrow morning.

If you have noticed the new entrants usually get good judging! unwritten deal...

You are in indian wells...for super fine dining Morgans at the la quinta hotel expensive but fabulous Jimmy Schmidt is the only James beard winning chef in the desert...

But if you havent already tried it go to El Mexicali in indio there are two go to the one on indio blvd and the railroad tracks and have the shrimp stuffed bannana stuffed peppers and everything else......its a nice dive but with incredible food and cheap

so true -- new people place all the time. There are a number of times that people have taken first in the first contest they enter. The contest shouldn't be intimidating to anyone or the forum in general. Everyone is friendly here

Big Poppa thanks for the recomendation. peppers were good. tried it their way with the soy sauce but liked better with some hot sauce.
i will deffinately be going back.

i had to make those shrimp stuffed peppers. they came out great...except instead of dicing the shrimp i used the cuisenart chopper and over pulsed. oh well.
