Hi all. My name is Janine and I'm a pellet smoker in-the-making.

My hubby and I have smoked a few things and have been pretty successful so far and we're checking out places to buy pellets online. We like to do some research before buying and we came across a site selling pure single variety smoking pellets and we'd like to know if any one here has tried them ... NorthWoods Smoke of Minnesota. We mainly use a Smoke-N-Tex (hot) and the A-MAZE-N-PELLET (cold) unit in a Big Chief. Thanks for any info. Love the site!

Welcome Janine, I'm a newcomer also. I'm not familiar with those but I'm sure someone here does. Most here that I can tell, prefer BBQ'rs Delight pellets. There's a link on the forum home page.

Glad you joined us Janine, welcome to the PelletSmoking forums!
I have the A-MAZE-N for both sawdust and one the one that is designed for pellets also; the pellet design you have will also smoke sawdust. These work great for both hot smoking and cold smoking.

Edit - After reading Carter13's post I wanted to add that the A-MAZE-N with sawdust adds much less heat to a smokers internal temperature than pellets do. This works well when cold smoking in warmer climate temperatures.

Another thumbs up for the AMNPS. I use this for cold smoking cheese on my Mak 1 and it works fantastic and using it with one row burning you can add 30 degrees to the ambient temp to come up with a cooking temp. I am going to cold smoke some salmon next weekend. This thing is one smoking sucker.

Hello. I too am a new comer to this forum, but Texas Star Foods will deliver 6-20lb bags of pellets for 99.00 in the great state of Texas no charge for shipping.
