Louisiana whole hog pellet chute

Traded for used smoker have no instructions. There is a adjustable door on the pellet Shute. It is all the way open on mine. Where should it be? Looks like it can restrict pellets and air flow.

Louisiana Grills Website has the owner's manual online. I'd look there first. If it doesn't have the answer, heck, I'd give 'em a call.
