makgrillsmobile.com will have this ability in the future (probably next year).
We are about to release our Recipe page program so stay tuned for that
In the first release you will be able to enter and save your own recipes and in the future share those with others as well.
When running the program does it only look at one step at a time? I was doing pork butt and fatty at the same time. Step a step for temp on pork butt then set step for fatty. I have them text me. Both went off at the same time and I have not had time to go back and test if fatty was done before would it send that text or only after the pork butt step had completed. Also would be nice to put the description of the step in the text. So if the step was fatty done the text would say that. Love the internet control.
Contact Matt at MAK Grills for more help.
Yes we are adding more step descriptions for the cooking program changes.
If you are just using the meat probe alarms for each then yes you can name each probe and when it reaches that temp it will alarm & send text/email.
Example:
Meat Probe 1 Pork Butt Alarm 195 (when done it will alarm and send text/email).
Meat Probe 2 Fatty alarm 165 (when done it will alarm and send text/email).
If you are using a cooking program, it is designed to make the grill change temperatures. You can set up for multiple changes based on different meat probe temps but would need to do each of them in a separate step to move the grill to a new set point temp.
Example:
Start out at grill set point 250
Step 1, move to 200 when meat probe 1 reaches 165
Step 2, move to smoke when meat probe 2 reaches 195
When the cooking program changes steps it will send text/email.
I really wish I could view my cook but manual control the temp. My grill keeps loseing internet and I have been able to get it reconnect without loosing my graph in ages. I went with the MAK over others for the web monitoring. About to start using my wifi termomitor to start doing the monitoring.
We are working on some firmware changes that may help the reconnection issue some customers have after losing connection with the router. Wi-Fi can be finicky in certain areas and there are a lot of different router connections scenarios. If you are monitoring at home the Bluetooth remote boss is pretty stable and carries all the alerts through from the controller. Contact us if you think that's a better fit for you and we'll swap you.
