Hi everyone. I know this forum is more about pellet smoking, but by doing my research on grills I have came across more educated responses and advice coming from this forum. So if you don't mind I would like some advice a backyard grill. Its just my wife and I, although we love to entertain and I have roasted many hogs for parties, and we will b doing a lot of grilling and making pizzas on the grill. At first I thought I just wanted primos oval, then by reading some comments from post came across the Medow Creek P 36 and Hasty Bake. Can anyone chime in on the Medow Creek or the Hasty Bake. Is the Hasty Bake made well? The MC looks like it can be handed down to many generations. As of right now the MC seems to be the sure winner of my research. Just want to know what the experts think. Thank you, and have a great week.

Hey Welcome and I hope you will give Big Poppa Smokers a shot at your business as they pay the rent here.

Pairing and person with a pit...say that 5 times comes down to what you intend to do more of...grill or smoke or equal both.

If you primarily want to grill the Hasty Bake hands down. The ability to control the grate level and heat is fabulous. It is also a great oven for roasts and chicken. As a smoker it is fine but not the best to manage.

The Meadow Creek PR series is the most versitile cooker I sell that doesnts involve pellets. I t is a real cooker and one that is built like a tank. It is not trendy or flashy and there have been a few people who have bought them and had issues learning how to use it. It is my go to catering pit. I cooked for 24 of the best pitmasters at King of the Smokers and I can cook on anything and I had the pr60 there. It is solid as a rock. can smoke for 12 hours....it can do direct and indirect grilling and country club style grilling. WIth the opional shelf that I recommend it has tons of capacity. WHere are you located?

Phoenix, Az. See this is my problem. I will probably do more grilling than smoking with some baking (pizza) with the addition of wood fired possibilities of the MC. The HB is more expensive and looks like its not made as well. What problems did your people have with using the MC. Controlling the heat?

I know I'm asking the impossible. I just want to buy a grill and cooker that I will have and learn to cook on for the rest of my life and not be buying another one in 5 years.
