Greetings all,
My name is bub, I live in the Mile High City, and have been smoking and fabricating log-fired pits for about 8 years.
Kind of a bitter sweet day for me today... bitter because this morning I sold my pride and joy. It's a 1600 pound, copper flame-sprayed reverse flow log burner with 4200 sq. inches of cooking area. It took me 130 hours to build. Kinda feel like I just married off my daughter.
But on the bright and sweet side... now I have a pretty good lump of cash to blow on a pellet smoker! I'm way excited and have always been intrigued by pellet pushers. Special thanks to Big Poppa for facilitating this forum, I have gleaned a ton of information from everyone... a big thanks to all who post!
I think I have my decision widdled down to two - the Mak 2 star or the Memphis Pro (leaning more towards the Mak, I think).
Anywhoo, nice meeting y'all and I'll see you around.
