I got a new MAK 2 Star about 2 and half months ago from BPS. I upgraded from a Camp Chef pellet grill. I love the new MAK. Great service from BPS and MAK. Planning on ordering a blank grease pan soon. I have cooked a few Boston Butts, a couple of turkeys, chickens, etc. Everything has turned out great.

I clean the grill after every cook and did a thorough cleaning, removing the lid this weekend. There are six bolts in the back of the grill at the louvers. From what i can tell there was a baffle at this location on previous models that has been removed from the 2016 models. Is this correct?

First off thanks for buying an American made MAK Grill!
Those bolts are for a wind baffle that could be added if customers are in a very windy area. We used to send it with the grill but 95% of owners didn't need it so we stopped but left the mounting holes for those who request it.
