Thought I'd hang out and find out all the inside poop on what's good and not on pellet smokers. Just took delivery today of a neat small family size smoker that my research says will fit my needs. Got her together and 'broken in' according to the instructions (350 degrees for 1/2 hr), made sure and put foil on the grease tray, sprayed the grease spout and bucket with coat of pam. Also ran her up and down the temp control a couple times to see how hot she'd get and what spread she could hold and am satisfied.
So now I'm thawing 7 lb. pork loin I've had in the freezer for sometime and want to know if anyone's got any secrets to success? Forgot to mention I also got in both apple and hickory pellets so should be good there.
