Hello Y'all - Just got my new Rec Tec a couple weeks ago and already I'm hooked. Love this dang thing. Everything I've cooked comes out fantastic and the family loves it. Nuff said. Attempting a tri-tip this weekend. Never heard of one until I started lurking around this forum but they look awful tasty.

Welcome to the forum RuhRoh. Glad to hear you're having fun and putting out some good food. Tri-tip is a real favorite around our house and if I may I'd like to give you some advise about cooking the Tri. Keep it simple, salt pepper and garlic. I cook mine at about 375 to 400* until it reaches a IT of 135*. Let rest for at least 20min before carving against the grain of the meat (very important). Many folks like to go low and slow and that's a very good way to cook a Tip, however I prefer hot and fast. I wish you the best of luck with your new adventure.
