Answered an ad on craigslist about a Nomad pellet-matic 3000, couldn't find much info or a definite pricing point to make an offer but the lady insisted it would be worth my trip and she would make me a great deal. She was correct, the deal was her and her husband had bought this smoker new in 1999 and used it ever since and just upgraded to a larger model that remained covered while I was there, they wanted to pass the nomad on to someone who would get some use from it and I guess I sounded like a needy smoke deprived type of guy. The little smoke is bullet-proof, the cart it is mounted on has some rust issues, but as a sheet metal contractor, I'll be replacing mild steel parts with stainless parts to match the cooker. They had all the original paperwork, an extra control board just in case, and a large bag of oak pellets to get me started. I stopped on the way home for some babybacks and fired this puppy up...I think we'll get along fine.
