Hey guys I just bought a new toy hauler, and I'm looking for my best option for Grilling/smoking when camping or out at the lake. I have a mak 2 star now, but I'm here in Arizona and alot of times the say no charcoal which I'm not sure if they consider a pellet smoker that? Also the fact that the mak is a little big to haul around. I do have a generator, and propane tank is n the hauler but..... Not sure I really like cooking on propane although I may have to. I did just see some of those master built electric or propane smokers as well... Any help would be greatly appreciated, I don't want to sacrifice good food when camping lol

I have a Mak 2 star also and my other grill is a TEC G-Sport. 304 SS, 100% USA made and portable (70# so easier with 2 people). You can get a roll around pedestal that the grill attaches to with four 1/4" bolts. See the videos on you tube (the ones with Bob and Max are good, part 3 shows smoking and cleanup).

GMG makes a nice small portable pellet grill. We like to take our drum or our Weber Smokey Mountain camping with us.

Isn't that charcoal? I'm worried about being able to use it with fire dangers, that happened to me with my primo xl last year and I had to run to walmart and buya dumb propane grill to finish off my ribs which sucked.... I guess I could have charcoal, pellet and gas on the hauler just to cover all angles....
