Pizzas are GREAT on a MAK (or any pellet grill). They turn out just like a wood-fired pizza oven.
If you like thin crispy crust you can use either a pizza stone, or pizza steel. You can also just put the pizza directly on the grates if you have a pizza peel.
If you prefer thicker crust pizza, or deep dish use pans. Cast iron skillets work great for deep dish pizzas in the grill.
Often during the week we'd just stop by and pick up a couple of take & bake pizzas, from our local pizzeria. To do two 16" pizzas in the MAK just switch them around half way through the cook.
Here was a Margarita pizza on a low-carb Cauliflower & Almond flour crust we did this past year. The crust is pre-baked, and put directly on the MAK grate to bake at 425°ish for 10 minutes or so until done. Even this crust is killer good on a MAK! We actually did this late year while in North Carolina, on my friend, Tim's, MAK 2 star.
