Ribeye with onions, srimp, and garlic toast....

Had to practice some more on the Yoder last night…. Had to see how the grill grates would work on some Ribeyes. And of course you just can’t have one thing on…so had to have some shrimp, sauteed onions, and garlic toast!

Fired up the grill (ok so just flipped the switch to on...)

I started the onions on the stove top with some melted butter. Once the steaks are ready to go on I transferred the onions to a disposable tin pan to get some smoke.





Then turned it down to 160 degrees on and let the steaks and onions take on some smoke for about an hour.




In the mean time I cleaned some shrimp, melted some butter and tossed them around in the butter with some seasoning and back into the fridge until it was show time for them.




After an hr of smoke I pulled the food from the grill and back into the house until the grill was ready….upped the temp to 500 to get the grates nice and hot.

Show time for the steaks….. grates are smoking hot!! Put the steaks on and instant sizzle!!! LOVE THAT SOUND!! Had them on 2 mins per side. If you look close you can see the grill marks…I used a dark rub on them so you can’t see them in the pic as well as you can in person.




Pulled the steaks an into the house to rest. While resting the shrimp go on and the garlic toast too… forgot to get a pic of them on the grill…I was getting to impatient and wanted after the steaks :D Here they are right off the grill though.



And finally……………….. Ready to enter food comma!!

wow, which ya'll lived closer. excellenta on the food there tanya. steaks cooked perfectly. love the shrimp. got yourself a little surf and turf going on there. nicely done.
