Hello all! After a couple of snags with paypal, finally got my MAK1 ordered tonight! Might even be here by Friday....wooohoooo! Coming from a traeger recently purchased at Costco(and taken back within a week, too much babysitting) this will def. be a step up( or two!) Kristen at BPS was a great help with this and hopefully ill have some pig candy in by Sat. nite.to get her seasoned.Oh, I mean the MAK....not Kristen!Hehe!

We use the day lights out of our MAK Grills and they just work day in and day out with very little attention. You will be happy

Great "handle" there breastman.. welcome aboard! I *almost* did what you did - my wife was ready to buy the Traeger from the terrific salesman at Costco, but Mike the researcher stepped in and pulled an override. So we ended up with a Memphis Pro from BP. Just saved the headache of a return..

Yeah and probably the thing we end up trying to tell customers that are on the fence and not buying from costco where you can return the smoker..."If you plan on using the smoker buying an entry level cooker is the most expensive thing you can do"

Welcome to PS.com breastman!

You've taken a similar course to a MAK that I took except I owned my Traeger for 4 months before the 2 Star General was available to the public. Welcome to the MAK family!

Of course, if the fattie is bacon wrapped, then here's what you do: put a little brown sugar rub on the bacon weave and call it a Pig Candy Blanket! ;)
